GMC has an array of vehicles that are perfectly designed for every type of drive. Whether you’re looking for a reliable workhorse for the job site or a rugged SUV for your family, GMC has a vehicle for your unique driving needs. At Ryan Buick GMC, we are proud to offer the latest models from this iconic brand, which has continued to offer powerful vehicles for over a century. We welcome you to come into our dealership today to experience these new models up close and personal, but until then, let’s take a closer look at what’s new for the 2023 model year.

The 2023 GMC Canyon

If you’re looking for a truck but don’t want a full-size pickup, then the midsize Canyon is a great choice. It has received a full redesign for the 2023 model year, so you’ll get a modern look and feel inside and out. Available tech features include:

  • Underbody cameras that provide both front and rear-facing views for complete coverage
  • An available Head-Up Display that puts key information directly in the driver’s line of sight, without needing to take their eyes off the road
  • A fully digital driver information center, giving you the ability to customize the layout
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity
  • Google Built-In, which makes voice commands easy so you can change settings hands-free

Perhaps the biggest change for the 2023 Canyon is the introduction of the rugged AT4X trim, which gives the truck more off-road capability than ever before. Its high-output engine provides plenty of power and up to 430 lb-ft of torque so that you can crawl over rocks with the best of them. The body is wider than other trims and has more factory lift, so you can easily roll over even the toughest of trails. An improved suspension system keeps you and your passengers safe and comfortable throughout the ride. Whether you like to head north to Turtle Mountain or travel south to the epic Badlands Off-Road Park, you can roll up with confidence behind the wheel of this tough-as-nails truck.

The 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 & HD

If the Canyon doesn’t fit your needs, you can always opt for the full-size Sierra 1500. While it already got an AT4X trim last year, the 2023 model still has some exciting off-road upgrades. The new AEV edition is named for the fact that it features equipment from American Expedition Vehicles. Upgrades include stamped-steel bumpers in the front and rear with extra rugged recovery points and front winch capacity, larger 33” Goodyear tires, a Boron steel front approach skid plate, and a redesigned grille and front fascia that project a look as tough as the truck’s monstrous power.

One of the great things about the Sierra 1500 is its versatility. You can choose from several capable engines, including a 6.2L V8 and a 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel option, producing 305 hp and 495 lb-ft of torque, as well as an array of cab and bed options. Whether you need plenty of space for big jobs tackled by a full crew or need something that lets you haul your gear around, you can get a Sierra designed just for you. Trim levels run the gamut from affordable and utilitarian options to luxurious high-level trims full of cutting-edge tech and creature comforts like hands-free cruise control, a 10-way power adjustable driver and front passenger seat, and a 12-speaker Bose audio system.

If you’re looking for even more capability, you can opt for a Sierra 2500 HD or 3500 HD. These heavy-duty pickups have many of the same options and interior comforts as their light-duty counterparts but offer way more power. Properly equipped, the strongest Sierra HD can haul 7,442 lbs of payload and tow a whopping 36,000 lbs.

The 2023 GMC Terrain

If you don’t use an open bed, consider GMC’s lineup of SUVs. The Terrain is the smallest option, but it still has plenty of room for passengers and cargo in its comfortable interior. For the 2023 model year, the Terrain has been updated inside and out, with an extra five horsepower under the hood (bringing the total to 175 hp), an improved braking system that features eboost electronic assistance, and three new paint colors to choose from.

Even at the most basic trim level, GMC Pro Safety comes standard, providing high-tech safety features like a following distance indicator, front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist, and IntelliBeam headlights. You’ll also get a traction select system that lets you switch between FWD mode for optimal fuel economy, AWD mode for extra traction, and off-road mode for uneven surfaces like dirt, gravel, or sand. On top of these practical features, there’s also an innovative infotainment system that makes it easy to listen to music, catch up on the news, or safely talk on the phone while you drive.

The 2023 GMC Acadia

Splitting the difference between full-size and small, the Acadia is just right for many drivers. Its three rows of seating can fit up to seven passengers, or you can fold some of the seats flat to accommodate extra cargo. The Smart Slide second-row can also be moved to give everyone just the right amount of legroom. If you want the smoothest possible ride, you can get the Denali trim’s available adaptive ride control. This feature automatically adjusts the shock absorber’s damping forces every two milliseconds, updating in real-time to enhance ride quality throughout any drive. If you often switch between paved highways and dirt backroads, this feature can go a long way toward making your driving experience more comfortable.

The 2023 GMC Yukon & Yukon XL

Part of North Dakota’s appeal is that we have our fair share of wide, open spaces. Even in a city like Minot, there’s plenty of room to stretch out and feel comfortable. If you want to apply that same feeling to your vehicle, the spacious Yukon is calling your name. The regular model can already seat eight with plenty of room in the back for cargo, but for even more space, you can opt for the Yukon XL, which has a longer wheelbase, giving it extra leg room and cargo capacity.

New for 2023 is the top-of-the-line Denali Ultimate trim. Building off of the luxurious Denali, this level goes even further with Alpine Umber leather upholstery, a 16-way power adjustable driver’s seat with a massage function, dark chrome accents on the exterior, and an 18-speaker Bose stereo that should satisfy even the most dedicated of audiophiles. You can also opt for the rugged AT4 trim or the more affordable SLE and SLT levels, which still come standard with features like a powerful V8 engine, the OnStar & GMC Connected Services capability, and a premium infotainment setup featuring a large 10.2-inch touchscreen.

We Have the GMC Vehicle You’re Looking For

Whether you need to transport people, cargo, or both, there’s a GMC vehicle that can get the job done. Growing families can opt for a comfortable SUV like the Acadia or Yukon, with plenty of seating for little ones in a spacious interior that will still be comfortable even after the inevitable growth spurts kick in. Working folks can take advantage of all the useful features offered on the Sierra pickup, and off-road enthusiasts can explore the great outdoors with confidence in either a Sierra or Canyon AT4 or kick things up a notch with the AT4X.

Whatever you’re looking for, we can help you find it here at Ryan Buick GMC. We don’t just know cars; we also know the good people of Minot.
